Zero added Sugar.

Everyone who cares about their health focuses on limiting their sugar consumption. When I limit my sugar, I sleep better, feel more energetic and balanced and have less energy swings.

All clean-crafted wine is fermented to dryness, meaning the yeast consumes ALL the sugar and the only leaving residual sugar from the grapes. Our wines are EXCEEDINGLY low in sugar, often 0 - 0.5 grams of residual sugar for the bottle, whereas conventional wine can be 16 grams of ADDED SUGAR per bottle.

Without all of that added sugar, I can stay on my healthy eating lifestyle and wake up feeling ready for my workout the next day without sacrificing my joy. This is what I call living in alignment.

 

Sustainably Harvested + Shipped.

Our grapes are harvested from small, often multi-generational farms and boutique vinyards from decades old vines around the world. The small-batch nature of the wines produce anywhere from 20,000 to 80,000 bottles from a single varietal/vintage.

Grapes are harvested by hand in the early morning or at dusk depending on what’s best for the grape, and sorted to ensure we don’t have any mold in the harvest. Conventional wines are harvested by machine, and MOLD IS PRESENT and ends up in the finished product. Gross.

All elements of shipping are considered to reduce the carbon footprint of the wine; bottles are engineered to be lighter and all packaging is 100% recyclable, including the corks. Foil is never used.

Zero Pesticides, Additives, or Chemicals.

Who knew the wine industry had label transparency issues similar to Big Ag? I was STUNNED to learn that the FDA ALLOWS up to 250 CHEMICALS, ADDITIVES and PESTICIDES in wine labeling. That’s just wrong.

(which is often met with resistance from the industry, imagine that) and INDEPENDENTLY LAB TESTING TWICE to ensure ZERO percent of toxic anything is in our wine. ZERO.

I naturally assumed only cheap conventional wines put chemicals in to cover grape imperfections and I was wrong. Even high-end vineyards use “a little” Mega Purple to round out the richness of their wine and deepen the color. But, we would never know because no one is required to report it. Mega Purple is known to cause headaches and stain teeth and clothing. It’s just one of the many chemicals we DON’T NEED in our wine or our bodies.

If I didn’t love everything about this wine already, throw in the NO RISK purchase and it has me at “hello.”

If for ANY REASON you don’t care for a bottle, the company will credit you to try something else, making it right. Who does this?!? Whole Foods won’t do this for me. Sigh.

Imagine if more companies took this stance behind their product and their customers, what a world it would be.
